Speech and Hearing Science

Welcome to the Department of Speech and Hearing Science. As an undergraduate student in the department, you will have an academic advisor, Kathi Ritten, who will serve as a resource of support for you from the time you enter the department until you graduate.

Advising is required in the College of Applied Health Sciences and your advisor is here not only to help you with preparing for registration and course selection, but also to help you connect to campus resources, discuss your career interests, and prepare you to take the next step after the U of I. You are encouraged to contact your advisor if you are having difficulties, need assistance, or even if you just have a few questions and need help connecting to resources on campus to help you to be successful.

Appointments may be scheduled through the Speech and Hearing Science office by calling 217-333-2230 or by stopping by the office reception window on the second floor of the Speech and Hearing Science Building, located at 901 South Sixth Street, Champaign.
